Sigrid Wurzinger

„I´m always happy, when my dresses turn into favourite pieces…“

„In my work as a designer, I set great value on individual clothes. I am not interested in creating fashion collections. People who wear my clothes have already found their individual style and love to extend their wardrobe with special pieces and accessories”

Sigrid Wurzinger is always looking out for special fabrics and unusual patterns. She finds those at fashion fares in Paris, at Liberty in England or by accident in little drapers´ shops on her travels. Because of her love for details, hand-crafted details and embroidery make her clothes unique.

In the children´s fashion collection, the designer goes for comfortable cuts and natural fabrics. Some pieces are created using a wrapping technique, which allows them to grow along with the kids and can be worn for some years, i.e. in the beginning it may be a dress, after some time it becomes a top.

Before a piece is created, there is always a paper draft which sometimes never becomes a garment, but becomes a book.
This is how the children´s book  “Ludovico, the lion” originated. It is about a stone lion in Venice, who comes to life for one day and experiences his city.
